A R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of August, 1972, The City of
Beaumont, Texas, did file with the County Clerk of Jefferson County,
Texas, one certain lien in the amount of $54. 63, including all costs of
recording, covering Block Number TWENTY-ONE (21) of the COLLEGE
ACRES ADDITION to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume
1445 at Page 478; and
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of August, 1972, The City of
Beaumont, Texas, filed with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas,
one certain lien in the amount of $24a 81, including all costs of recording,
covering Lot Number NINE and the West one-half of Lot Number TEN ,(9
& W. 1/2 of 10) in Block Number FOUR (4) of the McFADDIN SECOND
ADDITION to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, which said
lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume 1446 at
Page 11; and
WHEREAS, HAROLD DENTON is the owner of said Block
Number TWENTY-ONE (21) of the COLLEGE ACRES ADDITION to the
City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas; and HUGH FREELAND is
the owner of said Lot Number NINE and the West one-half of Lot Number
TEN (9 & W. 1/2 of 10) in Block Number FOUR (4) of the McFADDIN
SECOND ADDITION to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas;
and
WHEREAS, The City of Beaumont inadvertently filed said
liens on properties other than the properties upon which a weed violation
was occurring;

That KEN RITTER, Mayor, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
and deliver to the said HAROLD DENTON and HUGH FREELAND, re-
spectively, as owners of the properties, a release of the above described
liens and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to same and to
affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.

Texas, acting by its duly elected and qualified Mayor, does hereby
RELEASE and QUITCLAIM unto HAROLD DENTON, all right, title, in-
terest and estate in the above described property which it may have a.s the
