R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, by resolution passed on the 8th day of February,
1972, the City Council approved the annual budget for 1972 for
the Convention and Tourism Facilities Bureau; and,
WHEREAS, the Convention and Tourism Facilities Bureau has
requested an amendment to the budget increasing.the annual
expenditures in the sum of $20,000, which said sum re -presents the
cost of an advertising campaign to be carried on to advertise
the convention facilities in the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the annual appropriation to the Convention and Tourism
Facilities Bureau is hereby increased the sum of $20,000, which
said sum shall be used for advertising the convention facilities
in the City of Beaumont, and which said sum shall come from
revenues raised by the hotel and motel occupancy tax.
