A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, in the case of Lucille Monsur West vs. The
City of Beaumont, Cause No. 27,744, in the County Court of
Jefferson County, at Law No..2, the Honorable Court has entered
judgment restraining and enjoining the City of Beaumont from
condemning or taking possession of -any part of the property
and premises of plaintiff in the above stated cause, said
property being described as Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 24, of the
Jarrett Addition to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County,
Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it in the best interest
of the City of Beaumont and its citizenry to appeal said
judgment; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Attorney be, and he is hereby, authorized to
appeal said judgment to the Court of Civil Appeals, and for
said purpose is further authorized to meet all conditions
precedent to said appeal.
