R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont agreed,to participate
in the cost of street improvements on Norvell and Ney Streets
to the extent of one-third the cost of such improvements;
and,
WHEREAS, the owner, Gulf Building and Loan.Company,
had previously deposited in escrow the sum of $16,606.00 for
its participating share; and,
WHEREAS, the project cost was $22,429.12, of which
Owner's two-thirdsshare was $14,952.75, leaving a balance of
$1,653.25 due to the owner from the amount deposited in
escrow by it;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Controller, or his designee, be, and he is
hereby, authorized to refund to Gulf Building and Loan Company.
$1,653.25 as the balance due the Owner from the escrow account
for its two-thirds participation in the improvement of
Norvell and Ney Streets.
