A R E S 0 L U -T I O N
WHEREAS, on June 20, 1972, the City Council received
bids for street improvements to West Lucas, Folsom and Crow
Road, as Project 11 -ST -11 of its Capital Improvements Program;
and,
WHEREAS, the bidding specifications required bidders
to submit alternate bids; and,
WHEREAS, bidders were asked to bid on a project com-
bining the street improvements with the construction of a
drainage outfall by Drainage District No. 6; and,
WHEREAS, it is expected that the City will enter into
a contract with Drainage District No. 6 for the joint con-
struction of the street improvements and the drainage outfall;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted on the total project by J.C.N. Pavers, Inc., in
the amount of $846,404.10, of which sum the City's cost will
be $589,630.10, is the lowest and best bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the total alternate bid for Projects A and B, submitted
by J.C.N. Pavers, Inc., is hereby accepted, and the City
Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
J.C.N. Pavers, Inc. in accord with its bid on the total
alternate bid Projects A and B; and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of the
City thereto.
