R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 23, 1972, the City Clerk of the City
of Beaumont was authorized to advertise that the City of
Beaumont desired to offer for sale to the general public a
tract of land out of the J. A. Veatch. Survey and fronting
on Cardinal Drive, containing 0.1244 acres, more or less;
and,
WHEREAS, on June 13, 1972, the City received bids for
the purchase of said 0.1244 acre tract of land; and,
WHEREAS, Transit -Mix Concrete and Foundation Company
submitted a bid for said tract of land of $1,050.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Transit -Mix Concrete and Foundation Company
is the best bid and should be accepted, and that a Deed to
Transit -Mix Concrete and Foundation Company conveying said
0.1244 acre tract of land should be executed by the Mayor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Transit -Mix Concrete and Foundation Company
be accepted and that the Mayor be,,and he is hereby, authorized
to execute on behalf of the City of Beaumont a Deed conveying
said tract of land to Transit -Mix Concrete and Foundation
Company for the sum of $1,050.00; and the City Clerk is
authorized to attest to same and to affix the seal of the
City thereto.
