WHEREAS, on the 10th day of March, 1972, The City of
Beaumont, Texas, filed with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas,
one certain lien in the amount of $10. 00, including all costs of recording,
covering Lot Number ONE (1).; Block Number EIGHT (8): of the CARVER
TERRACE ADDITION to the City of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas,
which said lien is recorded in the M & L Records of said County in Volume
1424 at Page 138; and
WHEREAS, VIOLA SMITH and MONROE SMITH, the owners
of said property, desires to pay to the City of Beaumont the money repre-
sented by said lien and have same released to them;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT;
That KEN RITTER, .Mayor, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute
and deliver to the said VIOLA. SMITH and MONROE SMITH, a release of
the above described lien, for and in consideration of the sum of $10. 00,
receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and the City Clerk is hereby
authorized to attest to same and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont
the r eto .
