A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, Article 6252-17 of the Revised Civil Statutes
of Texas requires that written notice of the date, place, and
subject of each meeting held by this City Council shall be
given at least three (3) days preceding the day of the meeting;
and.,
WHEREAS, Article III, Section 9 of the Charter of the
City of Beaumont authorizes the City Council to establish its
own rules and procedure; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that any
member of the City Council should be able to have an item
placed on the agenda for a regular City Council meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That any member of the City Council of the City of Beaumont
may place an item on the agenda for the regular City Council
meeting., which is held on every Tuesday, by notifying the City
Manager to place such item on the agenda at the work session
meeting held on the Thursday immediately preceding the
Tuesday meeting for which the agenda is adopted.
