R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, bids were received on March 28, 1972, for
furnishing liquid chlorine for municipal purposes for the
City of Beaumont for the period beginning May 1, 1972, and
ending April 30, 1973; and,
WHEREAS, Thompson -Hayward Chemical.C.ompany_submitted a
bid for furnishing such liquid chlorine; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the bid
submitted by Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company is the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted, and that a contract with
Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company for furnishing liquid chlorine
should be executed, and that the said liquid chlorine be
purchased from Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company be accepted
and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
execute on behalf of the City of Beaumont a contract with
Thompson -Hayward Chemical Company for furnishing liquid chlorine
for municipal purposes for the period of May 1, 1972, to
April 30, 1973, at the unit prices as specified in their bid;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said
contract and to affix the seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the O/i''1SC day of
1972.
