A R E S O L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, -on April 25, 1972, the City received bids
for cleaning and painting the exterior of the one million
gallon elevated water storage tank located at Kenneth and
Harriot Streets for the City of Beaumont, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, Barco Painting, Inc. submitted a bid in the
sum of $9,430.00 with 73 working days to complete the work
for cleaning and painting the exterior of the one million
gallon elevated water storage tank located at Kenneth and
Harriot Streets for the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Barco Painting, Inc. is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted and contract entered into with
Barco Painting, Inc. for said cleaning and painting the exterior
of the one million gallon elevated water storage tank located
at Kenneth and Harriot Streets for the City of Beaumont, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Barco Painting, Inc. be accepted and the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Beaumont the contract with Ba.rco Painting, Inc.
for cleaning and painting the exterior of the one million
gallon elevated water storage tank located at Kenneth and
Harriot Streets for the.City of Beaumont, in accordance with
sepcifica.tions submitted to bidders for the sum of $9,430.00
with 73 working days to complete the work; and the City Clerk .
is hereby authorized to attest to said contract and to affix
