A R E S 0 L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City received bids on April 25, 1972,
for furnishing one (1) Variable Speed Drive Unit for the Water
Reclamation Division to be used at the Ha.rriot Street Lift
Station; and,
WHEREAS, Southern Engine & Pump Co., Inc. submitted
a bid for furnishing said Variable Speed Drive Unit; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by the Southern Engine & Pump Co., Inc., is
the lowest and best bid and should be accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the installation of such unit is a part of
the sewer project of the Capital Improvements Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Southern Engine & Pump Co., Inc., in the
amount of $3,860.00 be accepted by the City of Beaumont, and
the Capital Improvements Program Bond Fund be expended for
said purchase.
