A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, the State of Texas and the City of Beaumont
wish to cooperate, as evidenced in Minute Orders 64320, 65190,
and 65839, in the improvement and construction of Eleventh
Street, from 450 feet south of South Street to 500 feet south
of College Street, and College Street, from Interstate Highway
10 to 500 feet east of Eleventh Street, under the Federal -Aid
Traffic Operations Program to Increase Capacity and Safety;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and the State of Texas
desire to enter into a "Municipal Construction and Maintenance
Agreement", specifying their rights, liabilities and obliga-
tions with respect to this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute a
Municipal Construction and'Maintenance Agreement concerning
the improvement and construction of Eleventh Street, from 450,
feet south of'South Street to 500 feet south of College Street,
and.College Street, from Interstate Highway 10 to 500 feet east
of Eleventh Street, in the City of Beaumont; and the City
Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized to attest to said
agreement and to affix the seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
