R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and Booth Roofing Company,
Inc. executed a certain contract on November 30, 1971, for the
application of a 20 year bonded roof and flashing on the City
Hall Building at a total contract price of $12,544.00; and,
WHEREAS, during the course of this roofing work, water
damage has resulted to the walls and the ceilings of the City Hall
Building; and,
WHEREAS, on,the 14th.day of March, 1972, the City Council,
by Resolution, authorized the payment of $10,844.16 to Booth
Roofing Company, Inc. and withheld the sum of $1,699.84 until
repairs had been completed; and,
WHEREAS, said water damages have been repaired and the
City Council is of.the opinion that the sum of $1,699.84 which
was withheld from the contract price should be paid to Booth
Roofing Company, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Controller, or his designee, be and he is hereby
authorized to pay the sum of $1,699.84 to Booth Roofing Company,
Inc. as final payment on the above-mentioned contract.
