R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, it is necessary to obtain samples of soil
of Blocks ll.and 12 of the Original Townsite of Beaumont, upon
which the police and municipal court building and the library
building will be constructed, and laboratory testing and
enginnering analysis of the same so that a complete engineering
report may be submitted to the architects before construction
is commenced; and,
WHEREAS, Southwestern Laboratories, testing engineers,
has submitted an estimate for said work in the amount of
$9,575, which the City Council believes to be reasonable and
in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Director of Community Development be, and he is hereby,
authorized to employ the services of Southwestern Laboratories
for the purpose of conducting soil samples, laboratory testing
and engineering analysis and report relative to Blocks 11 and
12 of the Original Townsite of Beaumont.
