A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, on March 7, 1972, the City received bids for
furnishing certain cast iron pipe for municipal purposes for
the City of Beaumont for the period beginning April 1, 1972
and ending March 31, 1973; and,
WHEREAS, U. S. Pipe Company submitted a bid for furnish-
ing such cast iron pipe; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by U. S. Pipe Company is the lowest and best
bid and should be accepted, and that a contract with U. S.
Pipe Company for furnishing cast iron pipe should be executed,
and that the said cast iron pipe should be purchased from
U. S. Pipe Company under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of U. S. Pipe Company be accepted and the City
Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Beaumont a contract with U. S. Pipe Company
for furnishing cast iron pipe for municipal purposes for the
period beginning April 1, 1972 and ending March 31, 1973 at
the unit prices as quoted in their bid; and the City Clerk be,
and he is hereby, authorized to attest to said contract and
to affix the seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
