R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, a Public Service Careers training program has
been proposed for the City of Beaumont to train city employees
and future city employees for 114 positions with the City of
Beaumont during a 21 month period beginning May 1, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that such
a program should be entered into if funds are available from
the Department of Labor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to.make
application to the Department of Labor for a grant in the total
sum of $389,874.48 for said Public Service Careers training
program and he is further authorized to negotiate such grant
with the Department of Labor.
PASSED by the City Council this the 1 day of
1972.
