A R E S O LUT ION
WHEREAS, the acquisition of a strip of land in the
general vicintiy of 18th Street and Calder Avenue, extending
therefrom generally in a southwesterly direction to the abandoned
Missouri -Pacific right-of-way, is essential to the location,
construction, maintenance and extension of a street to be
known as Phelan Boulevard, and is considered in the best in-
terest of the City of Beaumont; Now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Legal Department be, and it is hereby, directed to
commence negotiations with the property owners of the herein-
above described strip of land'as may be necessary for the here-
inabove described purpose, to the end that property owners
thereof shall receive the fair cash value for their property.
PASSED by the City Council this 14th day of March,
1972.
