A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Commission passed Minute
Order No. 65838 on January 31, 1972, authorizing the State
Highway Engineer to proceed with proposed improvements for
certain streets designated as TOPICS streets in said Minute
Order, the approximate length of which shall be 16.5 miles;
and,
WHEREAS, said Minute Order provided that it would
become operative upon acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, such Minute Order further provided that it
would be automatically cancelled if not accepted by the City
of Beaumont within ninety (90) days from its date; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it
is to the best interest of the City to accept said Minute
Order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That Minute Order No. 65838 passed on January 31, 1972, by the
Texas Highway Commission be, and the same is hereby, accepted
by the City of Beaumont.
