A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, on December 7, 1971, a. three quarter ton
chevrolet pickup owned by the City of Beaumont and assigned
to the Street Department was involved in an accident; and,
WHEREAS, the driver of the other vehicle involved
was Jackson O'Rear; and,
WHEREAS, Jackson O'Rear has offered the City Two
Thousand Fifty and No/100 ($2,050.00) Dollars in full settle-
ment of all claims for damages against him; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that this
offer should be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to ex-
ecute a release to Jackson O'Rear in exchange for the sum of
Two Thousand Fifty and No/100 ($2,050.00) Dollars, which said
sum represents the total value of the City vehicle involved;
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest '.to same
and to release the title to said vehicle.
