A RES OLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received on December 7, 1971, for
furnishing reef oyster shell and sand -shell mix for municipal
purposes for The City of Beaumont for the period beginning
January 1, 1972, and ending December 31, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, Keown Supply Company submitted a bid for
furnishing reef oyster shell and sand -shell mix, which was the
lowest and best bid received, and the City Manager recommended
that the bid of Keown Supply Company for the furnishing of
reef oyster shell and sand -shell mix be accepted and that a
contract be entered into with said Company, and that reef
oyster shell and sand -shell mix be purchased from Keown'Supply
Company under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract with Keown Supply
Company for the furnishing of reef oyster shell and sand -shell
mix for the period beginning January 1, 1972, and ending
December 31, 1972; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest to said contract and to affix the seal of The City of .
Beaumont thereto.
