R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the acquisition of Blocks 11 and 12
of the Original Town of Beaumont as per map or plat filed
of record with the County Clerk of Jefferson County, Texas,
is essential to the construction of.a new municipal court
and police station building and a library building, and is
considered in the best interest of the City of Beaumont;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY'THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Legal Department is hereby directed to commence
negotiations with property owners in Blocks 11 and 12 of
the said Original Town of Beaumont as may be necessary for
the acquisition of all the land included within said Blocks
11 and 12 to the end that property owners thereof shall
receive the fair market value for their property.
PASSED by the City Council this 14th day of
December, 1971.
