A R E S 0 L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of August, 1971, the City of
Beaumont received a. sheriff's deed to Lot 4, Block A. of the
Ingram Addition to the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, said property was conveyed to the City of
Beaumont to satisfy a.judgment.for delinquent taxes rendered
by the District Court of Jefferspn County, Texas, in the case
of City of Beaumont vs. Sylvester Griffin, et al; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is holding said property
for itself, the Beaumont Independent School District and the
County of Jefferson; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has been offered the
sum of $500.00 for said property and the Council is of the
opinion that the sale of the property for such sum is in the
best interest of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized, to execute a
deed to C. W. Conn conveying the above described property in
exchange for the sum of $500.00; and the City Clerk is author-
ized to attest to same and to affix the seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
