R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated the 14th day of September,
1971, the City Manager, or his designee, was authorized to pay to
Southern Pacific Land Company the sum of $2,701.83 for the
purchase of an easement 1,103 square feet, more or less, at the
corner of Laurel Avenue and Orleans Street; and,
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, a
Delaware corporation, has tendered to the City of Beaumont an
easement for the above described tract of land; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the easement for the widening of Laurel Avenue upon and
across a certain triangular tract of land bounded by Laurel Avenue,
Orleans Street, Crockett Street and Park Street in the City of
Beaumont, containing an area of 1,103 square feet, more or less,
is, in all things, hereby accepted for and in behalf of the City
of Beaumont.
