WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont desires to participate
in the Federal Aid Urban System; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont has recently approved
an official plan designating certain streets within the City of
Beaumont as a part of the Federal Aid Urban System;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City of Beaumont desires to participate in the Federal
Aid Urban System, and does hereby request that the necessary
steps be taken to improve Eleventh Street in the City of Beaumont
from a point approximately 500' South of College Street to its
intersection with Fannett Road; that approximately 600' along
Washington Boulevard on either side of Eleventh Street be included
in the said project; and, -the City Council of the City of Beaumont
does hereby request that the Texas Highway Department consider
this a project for Federal Aid to Urban Street System.
