A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, a delegation from Jefferson and Orange
Counties appeared before the Texas Highway Commission on
October 1, 1971, to request the extension of State Highway
105 across the Neches River easterly to a point of connection
with Interstate Highway 10; and,
WHEREAS, this project has been recommended in the
Jefferson -Orange County Regional Transportation Study; and,
WHEREAS, this project has been, and still is, included
in the City of Beaumont's Street and Highway projected plans;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Texas Highway Commission be requested to conduct a
preliminary feasibility study and plans for the extension of
State Highway 105 easterly across the Neches River to a point
of connection with Interstate Highway 10.
PASSED by the City Council this the 12th day of
October, 1971.
