A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, a 150 h.p. Fairbanks -Morse Vertical Motor
belonging to the City of Beaumont and used in the Production
Division of the Water Department was struck by lightning; and,
WHEREAS, said motor was repaired at a cost of $1,426.23,
of which $1,140.98 will be reimbursed to the City by the City's
insurance carrier, leaving a balance to be paid by the City of
$285.85; and,
WHEREAS, said repairs were essential to the health
and safety of the citizens of Beaumont and therefore in the
best interest of its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Controller of the City of Beaumont, or his designee,
be, and he is hereby, authorized to pay to Beaumont Armature
Works the sum of $285.85 for repairs to a 150 h.p. Fairbanks -
Morse Vertical Motor belonging to the City of Beaumont.
PASSED by the City Council this the 12th day of
October, 1971.
