A RE S O LUT I O N
WHEREAS, by letter dated September 1, 1971, directed
to the City of Beaumont, the firm of Norris & Garrod Engineers,
Inc., who have contracted with the City of Beaumont for services
as consulting engineers for the street and thoroughfare portion
of the Capital Improvements Program, recommended that it be
authorized to contract with International Aerial Mapping Company
of San Antonio for certain aerial mapping services in conjunc-
tion with the said program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the firm of Norris & Garrod Engineers, Inc.,be, and it
is hereby, authorized to contract with International Aerial
Mapping Company of San Antonio for aerial mapping services for
the street projects of the Capital Improvements Program except-
ing therefrom Phelan Boulevard, West Lucas, Folsom, Crow Road
and College Street, under the terms and conditions stated in
the said letter dated September 1, 1971, and particularly at
a cost of $850.00 per mile for the planinetric plan and pro-
file sheets and an additional $450.00 per mile for the plotted
cross sections and cross section overlays, with the under-
standing that $225.00 per mile shall be deducted from said
cost as encompassing contracted services to be rendered by
Norris & Garrod Engineers, Inc., and with the further under-
standing that Norris & Garrod Engineers, Inc. shall waive its
15% administration fee under Section V B(2) of its contract
with the City of Beaumont, all in accordance with the letter
PASSED by the City Council this the 14th day of
September, 1971.
