R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Texas Highway Commission passed Minute
Order No. 65190 on August 5, 1971, authorizing the State Highway
Engineer to proceed with plans for the improvement of U. S.
Highway 90 from Interstate Highway 10 to five hundred feet (500')
East of Eleventh. Street, a distance of approximately 0.4 mile;
and,
WHEREAS, said Minute Order provided that it would become
operative upon acceptance by the City; and,
WHEREAS, such Minute Order further provided that it would
be automatically cancelled if not accepted by The City of Beaumont
within ninety (90) days from its date; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it is
to the best interest of the City to accept said Minute Order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY.OF BEAUMONT:
That Minute Order No. 65190 passed on August 5, 1971, by the Texas
Highway Commission be, and the same is hereby, accepted by The
City of Beaumont subject to the provision contained therein that
the plans for the improvement of the present facility authorized
by said Minute Order shall be subject to the approval of The City
of Beaumont.
