R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Board of Equalization.under date of
August 11, 1971, certified the assessment roll of property
of The City of Beaumont for the year 1971 by stating that
the statements contained in the certificate of the Assessor
and Collector of The City of Beaumont are true and correct;
- and,
WHEREAS, the certificate of Leon L. Burnett, Assessor
and Collector of The City of Beaumont, certified the assess-
ment roll of property for the year 1971 to be as follows:
LAND $109,814,190
IMPROVEMENTS 230,156,930
TOTAL REAL ESTATE $339,971,120
PERSONAL PROPERTY 85,376,370
TOTAL
and,
$425,347,490
WHEREAS, the Assessment Roll with the approval of the
Board of Equalization has been returned to the City Council
and the Council is of the opinion that same is correct and
should be approved and adopted as the Assessment Roll to be
used for the collection of taxes for the current year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Assessment Roll of property for the year 1971, showing
total taxable property of $425,347,490, as certified by Leon L.
Burnett, Assessor and Collector, and certified by the Board
of Equalization, is hereby approved and the same is adopted
as the Assessment Roll of The City of Beaumont to be used
for the collection of taxes for the current year of 1971.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby
authorized to sign the certificate of the Tax Assessor and
Collector and the Board of Equalization as approved by this
Council as of August 31, 1971.
PASSED by the City Council this the 31st day of
August, 1971.
