R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is a dominant economic force
in the Gulf Coast area; and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Government has made available certain
funds under the Emergency Employment Act of 1971 that will increase
the availability of jobs in the Beaumont area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the Mayor of the City of Beaumont is hereby authorized to enter
into an agreement with the Department of Labor of the United States
of America to accept certain moneys and to provide certain jobs
under the terms and provisions of Subtitle A of Title 29, Part 55
of the Code of Federal Regulations.
