A RE S O LUT I O N
WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of 'Transportation has
instigated a program whereby federal highway funds can be
expended in the development of urban streets; and,
WHEREAS, the Coordinating Committee of the Jefferson -
Orange Regional Transportation Study has proposed a system of
streets to be included into such system of streets to be in-
cluded into such program; and,
WHEREAS, it is understood by the City of Beaumont that
this system can be amended, expanded, and modified based on
subsequent studies; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont does desire to participate
in the aforementioned street development program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the system of thoroughfares proposed by the Coordinating
Committee of the Jefferson -Orange Regional Transportation
Study is hereby approved by the City of Beaumont, and the
Mayor is hereby authorized to indicate in writing the City's
approval; and the City Clerk is authorized to attest thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the I� day of
1971.
