A, RESOLUT ION
WHEREAS, at their regular meeting of July 20, 1971, the
Commissioners of Drainage District No. 6 agreed to a procedure
for the 4th Street Underpass Outfall Drainage Project by which
the City of Beaumont will contribute a total of $80,000.00
toward construction and engineering on the project, less
engineering payments already made directly to the firm of Norris
& Garrod Engineers, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the
contribution of $80,000.00 toward the completion of said project
is in the best interest of the City and its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City of Beaumont will contribute $80,000.00 toward
construction and engineering of the 4th Street Underpass Outfall
Drainage Project, less engineering payments already made directly
to the firm of Norris & Garrod,Engineers., Inc., said contribution
to be made upon letting of bids for said project; with the under-
standing that Drainage District No. 6 shall assume responsibility
for the entire project; and the City Clerk is authorized to
attest said contract and to affix the seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
