A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously appointed the
joint venture of George J. Schaumburg Consulting Engineers,
Inc. and Norris & Garrod Engineers, Inc. as engineers for the
street and thoroughfare, water utility and sewer utility im-
provements under the Capital Improvements Program, and had
previously authorized its City Manager, Charles V. Hill, to
negotiate a contract with the said joint venture; and,
WHEREAS, a proposed contract has been prepared and
approved by the legal office and approved by the staff, and
each councilman has been provided a copy of said proposed con-
tract; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
execution of said contract is in the best interest of the City
of Beaumont and its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to ex-
ecute said contract for and in behalf of the City of Beaumont
with joint venture of George J. Schaumburg Consulting Engineers,
Inc. and Norris & Garrod Engineers, Inc. for the street and
thoroughfare, water utility and sewer utility improvements
project of the Capital Improvements Program, as that program
was established by the vote of the citizens of the City of
Beaumont; and the City Clerk is authorized to attest said con-
tract and to affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
