R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the citizens of Beaumont have approved a
major bond program for capital improvements within the City
of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that
negotiations should be begun as quickly as possible for the
performance of engineering and architectural functions in the
development of the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
commence negotiations of contracts with the following firms
for the following improvements:
1. With the firm of Pitts, Phelps and White
for the Police Station building;
2. With the firm of Steinman, Gordy and
Huffhines for the Library building;
3. With the firm of Dickson, Dickson and
Bullock for the Water Building complex;
4. With the firm of Architects Associates
for the Fire Tower improvements; and
5. With the firms
of Schaumburg Consulting
Engineers,
Inc.
and Norris and Garrod
Engineers,
Inc.
for the streets, water
and sewer
improvements.
