A R E S O LUT ION
WHEREAS, on June 22, 1971, Norris & Garrod Engineers,
Inc., Consulting Engineers for the City received bids for
humps removal on Main, Pearl, Orleans, Crockett and Park
Streets; and,
WHEREAS, Trotti and Thomson, Inc. submitted a bid in
the sum of $176,045.60 for such humps removal on Main, Pearl,
Orleans, Crockett and Park Streets; and,
WHEREAS, Norris & Garrod Engineers, Inc., Consulting
Engineers for the City for the subject improvements have
recommended that the contract be awarded to Trotti and Thomson,
Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Trotti and Thomson, Inc. is- the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted and a contract entered into
with Trotti and Thomson, Inc. for said humps removal on Main,
Pearl, Orleans, Crockett and Park Streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of Trotti and Thomson, Inc. be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont the contract with Trotti and
Thomson, Inc. for the humps removal on Main, Pearl, Orleans,
Crockett and Park Streets for the sum of $176,045.00; and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said contract and
to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
