R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on June 8, 1971, the City received bids for
hard surfacing the vest pocket park area at the intersection of
Maple and Oakland Streets in the City of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, F. Gatlin Asphalt Company submitted a bid in
the sum of $3,420.00 for such hard surfacing the vest pocket park
area; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by F. Gatlin Asphalt Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted and a contract entered into with
F. Gatlin Asphalt Company for said hard surfacing the vest pocket
park area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE.IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of F. Gatlin Asphalt Company be accepted and the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf
of the City of Beaumont the contract with F. Gatlin Asphalt Company
for the hard surfacing the vest pocket park area at the intersection
of Maple and Oakland Streets in the City of Beaumont, in accordance
with specifications submitted to bidders, for the sum of $3,420.00;
and the City'Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to said contract
and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont thereto.
