A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, upon the resignation of Dr. Conrad Mang from
the Beaumont City Council, a vacancy was created in the member-
ship of the South East Texas Regional Planning Commission; and,
_ I WHEREAS, the By -Laws of the South East Texas Regional
Planning Commission provide that each member city shall have
two representatives and that each member shall serve during
the term of office to which they have been elected, unless
sooner replaced by the appointing authorities; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is desirous of maintain-
ing full representation with the South East Texas Regional
Planning Commission and intends to do so by exercising this
right of appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That we, the Mayor and Councilmen of the Beaumont City Council,
do hereby appoint Councilman Don Cash of Ward I to the position
of representative with the South East Texas Regional Planning
Commission and Councilman Leroy Evans of Ward IV be designated
as alternate representative to the South East Texas Regional
Planning Commission.
