R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, on May 11, 1971, the City received bids for
furnishing sodium silicofloride for municipal purposes for
the City of Beaumont for the period beginning June 1, 1971
and ending May -31, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, McKesson Chemical Company submitted a bid
for furnishing such sodium silicofloride; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by McKesson Chemical Company is the lowest and
best bid and should be accepted, and that a Contract with
McKesson Chemical Company for furnishing sodium silicofloride
should be executed, and that the said sodium silicofloride
be purchased from McKesson Chemical Company under said
Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
that the bid of McKesson Chemical Company be accepted and.the
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on
behalf of the City of Beaumont a contract with McKesson Chemical
Company for furnishing sodium silicofloride for municipal
purposes for the period of June 1, 1971 to May 31, 1972 at the
unit price as specified in their bid;
That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized to
attest to said Contract and to affix the seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
