HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 52 AAA• 1 „ A R E S 0 L U T I O N WHEREAS, Frank Dover, 0. N. Eldridge, C. A. Kohler and M. L. Lefler, Jr., residents of Jefferson County, Texas, are desirous of making a gift of the herein described property to the City of Beaumont; and, WHEREAS, the said Frank Dover, 0. N. Eldridge, C. A. Kohler and M. L. Lefler, Jr., did execute and deliver to the Cuty of Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, a deed of convey- ance dated April 23, 1971, to such property being more par- ticularly described as follows, to wit: BEING a 5.107 acre tract of land out of the J. W. Bullock League in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas, and being out of Block No. 4 of the Annie T. Warren Subdivision and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: FOR locative point begin at an iron stake locating the southwest corner of Block No.17 of Silver City Addition in the north line of Rena Street; THENCE south 0 degrees 05 minutes east 70 feet to a concrete monument locating the southeast corner of Sprott Park and the northwest corner of the Virginia Manor 6 acre tract and the northeast and the begin- ning corner of the tract of land herein described; said concrete monument being also in the east line of said Block No. 4 of the Annie T. Warren Subdivision; THENCE south 89 degrees 25 minutes west with the south line of'Sprott Park 424.40 feet to an iron pipe for corner; THENCE south 0 degrees 45 minutes 30 seconds east 559.75 feet to an iron stake in the north right-of-way line of Virginia Street; THENCE east with said north line 320.75 feet to an iron stake; THENCE north 0 degrees 23 minutes west 150 THENCE east 100 feet to -an iron stake in the east line of said Block No. 4 of the Annie T. Warren Subdivision and in the west line of the Virginia Manor 6 acre tract; THENCE north 0 degrees 23 minutes west with said line 414.10 feet to the place of beginning containing 5.107 acres of land. WHEREAS, the -City Council recognizes this gift to be of great value to the City of Beaumont and its future progress; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT: That the deed for the said property is hereby accepted by the City of Beaumont. 1971.
