A RE SOLUTION

WHEREAS, Weingarten Markets Realty Company has proferred
to the City of Beaumont, at no monetary cost to the City, an
instrument conveying to the City of Beaumont in fee simple a
0.816 parcel of land, and including-' th.erein' a lease agreement
for limited p.urposes to be effective for fifty (50) years or
until such time as the City of Beaumont.constructs a street on
said parcel of land, at which time the lease will terminate,
and containing certain other provisions; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the
acceptance of the proferred instrument is in the best interests
of the City of Beaumont and its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
and to execute the said instrument for and in behalf of the
City of Beaumont; and the City Clerk is further authorized to
have said instrument recorded in the Deed Records of Jefferson
County, Texas.
