A R E S 0 L U T I 0 N
WHEREAS, Texas Bank of Beaumont has proferred to the
City of Beaumont, at no monetary cost to the City, a certain'
instrument conveying to the City of Beaumont in fee simple a
0.152 acre parcel of land containing certain provisions therein
including a reversionary clause if the City formally abandons
its plan to use said parcel as a street, or if it closes said
street; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that
the acceptance of said instrument is in the best interests of
the City of Beaumont and its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
accept and to execute in behalf of the City of Beaumont the
said instrument of conveyance from Texas Bank of Beaumont; and
the City Clerk is further authorized to record said instrument
in the Deed Records of Jefferson County, Texas.
