WHEREAS, Ada Oil Company has proferred to the City of
Beaumont, at no monetary cost to the City, an instrument con-

veying to the City of Beaumont in fee simple a 0.694 parcel of
land, and including therein a lease agreement for limited
purposes to be effective for fifty (50) years or until such
time as the City of Beaumont constructs a street on said parcel
of land, at which time the lease will terminate, and contain-
ing certain other provisions; and,
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that
the acceptance of the proferred instrument is in the best
interests of the City of Beaumont and its citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept
and to execute the said instrument for and in behalf of the
City of Beaumont; and the City Clerk is further authorized to
have said instrument recorded in the Deed Records of Jefferson
County, Texas.
PASSED by the City Council this the 2d -4-1k day of
1971.
