A R E S O LUT ION

WHEREAS, the Governor, by letter dated March 12, 1971,
has advised the City of Beaumont that, based on the recommenda-
tion of the -Criminal Justice Council, he -has awarded the -City
of Beaumont a grant for Regional Crime Laboratory facilities
in the amount of $13,649.00, with a City contribution of
$10,534.00; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of The City of Beaumont
deemed it in the best interest of the City of Beaumont and the
citizenry thereof to accept the said grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the grant from the Governor of the State of Texas in the
amount of $13,649.00 for Regional Crime Laboratory facilities
be, and.the same is hereby, accepted in all respects; and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to affix the Seal of the City
of Beaumont hereto.
