WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont and the Southern Pacific
Transportation Company had previously executed a Lease dated
June 30, 1965, of which the City of Beaumont was Lessee, for the
use of a portion of the railroad's property for unloading and
storing materials; and,
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Transportation Company
has tendered a Supplement to -said Lease renewing same from the
15th day of July, 1971 at a rental of Seventy Three and No/100
($73.00) Dollars per annum, which Lease the City Council deems
to be in the best interest of the'City of Beaumont and its
citizenry;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
for and in behalf of the City -of Beaumont a certain Supplement
to Lease No. 148007 with the Southern"Pacific Transportation
Company in accordance with the terms and conditions of said
Lease and Supplement; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
affix the Seal of the City of Beaumont thereto.
