A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Beaumont is a dominant economic
force in the Gulf Coast area; and,
WHEREAS, there is concern for underprivileged, un-
trained persons competing for jobs in a tight labor market;
and,
WHEREAS, there is recognized a need for developing
the human resources of the South East Texas CAMPS District;
and,
WHEREAS, the Federal government has made available
certain funds for manpower development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the -grant application for the establishment.of a permanent
CAMPS Manpower Planning Staff for the South East Texas District
be, and the same is hereby, endorsed, and the City of Beaumont
will make available its staff and facilities for said program.
