WHEREAS, on March 16, 1971, the City received bids for
cleaning and painting the interior of one 5 MG ground storage
water tank located at Loeb for the City of Beaumont, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, McCrea Water Tower Maintenance and Repair
submitted a bid in the sum of $.17,387.00 with 90 days to com-
plete the work for cleaning and painting the interior of one
5 MG ground storage water tank located at Loeb for the City
of Beaumont; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by McCrea Water Tower Maintenance and Repair is
the lowest and best bid and should be accepted and contract
entered into with McCrea Water Tower Maintenance and Repair
for said cleaning and painting the interior of one 5 MG ground
storage water tank located at Loeb for the City of Beaumont,
Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the bid of McCrea Water Tower Maintenance and Repair be
accepted and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to execute on behalf of the City of Beaumont the contract with
McCrea Water Tower Maintenance and Repair for cleaning and
painting the interior of one 5 MG ground storage water tank
located at Loeb for The City of Beaumont, in accordance with
specifications submitted to bidders for the sum of $17,387.00
with 90 days to complete the work; and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized to attest to said contract and to affix the
PASSED by the City Council this. the 23rd day of
March, 1971.
