A RES OLUTION
WHEREAS, on February 23, 1971, the City received bids
for furnishing certain cast iron pipe and certain asbestos
cement pipe for municipal purposes for the City of Beaumont
for the period beginningjApril 1, 1971 and ending March 31, 1972;
and,
WHEREAS, Western Pipe and Supply Company submitted
a bid for furnishing such cast iron pipe and asbestos cement
pipe; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Western Pipe and Supply Company is the lowest
and best bid and should be accepted, and that a Contract with
Western Pipe and Supply Company for furnishing cast iron pipe
and asbestos cement pipe be purchased from Western Pipe and
Supply Company under said Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
that the bid of Western Pipe and Supply Company be accepted
and the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute
on behalf of the City of Beaumont a Contract with Western Pipe
and Supply Company for furnishing certain cast iron pipe and
certain asbestos cement pipe for municipal purposes for the
period April 1, 1971 to March 31, 1972 at the unit prices as
specified in their bid;
That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized
to attest to said Contract and to -affix the -seal of the City
of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the day of
1971.
