A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, on February 23, 1971, the City received bids
for furnishing cast iron pipe, to be delivered by rail,as
follows: 6" diameter, 8" diameter and 12" diameter for municipal
purposes for the CitY'of--Beaumont for -the period beginning /
April 1, 1971 and ending March 31, 1972; and,
WHEREAS, Lone Star Steel submitted a bid for furnishing
such cast iron pipe; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
bid submitted by Lone Star Steel is the lowest and best bid
and should be accepted, and that a contract with Lone Star Steel
for furnishing cast iron pipe should be executed, and that the
said cast iron pipe be purchased from Lone Star Steel under
said contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT
that the bid of.Lone Star Steel be accepted and the City Manager
be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute on behalf of the
City of Beaumont a contract with Lane Star Steel for furnishing:.
cast iron pipe for municipal purposes for the period of
April 1, 1971 to March 31, 1972 at the unit prices as specified
in their bid;
That the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, authorized
to attest to said contract and to affix the seal of the City of
Beaumont thereto.
