WHEREAS, bids were received on December 15, 1970, for
furnishing sand -shell mix for municipal purposes for The City
of Beaumont for the period beginning January 1, 1971 and ending
December 31, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, C. A. McKinley Sons, Inc. submitted a bid for
furnishing sand -shell mix, which was the lowest and best bid
received, and the City Manager recommended that the bid of
C. A. McKinley Sons, Inc. for the furnishing of sand -shell mix
be accepted and that a contract be entered into with said
Company, and that sand -shell mix be purchased from C. A.
McKinley Sons, Inc. under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to execute
on behalf of The City of Beaumont a contract dated January 26,
1971, with C. A. McKinley Sons, Inc. for the furnishing of
sand -shell mix for the period beginning January 1, 1971 and
ending December 31, 1971; and the City Clerk is hereby author-
ized to attest to said contract and to affix the Seal of The
City of Beaumont thereto.
PASSED by the City Council this the 26th day of
January, 1971.
