A RE SOLUTION
WHEREAS, bids were received on December 15, 1970, for
furnishing aggregate for seal coat and cold mix asphalt for
municipal purposes for The City of Beaumont for the period
beginning January 1, 1971 and ending December 31, 1971; and,
WHEREAS, Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company submitted a bid
for furnishing aggregate for seal coat and cold mix asphalt
which was the lowest and best bid received, and the City Manager
recommended that the bid of Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company for
furnishing aggregate for seal coat and cold mix asphalt be
accepted and that a contract be entered into with said Company,
and that aggregate for seal coat and cold mix asphalt be pur-
chased from Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company under said contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF.BEAUMONT:
That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to ex-
ecute on behalf of the City of_Beaumont a contract dated
January 19, 1971, with Uvalde Rock Asphalt Company for the
furnishing of aggregate for seal coat and cold mix asphalt for
the period beginning January 1, 1971 and ending December 31,
1971; and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest to
said contract and to affix the Seal of The City of Beaumont
thereto.
